RESEARCH OF PLAY ACTIVITY OF CHILDREN WITH MENTAL RETARDATION IN CONDITIONS OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION

The article provides the theoretical foundations for the use of story-role-playing games in the process of educating preschoolers with mental retardation, focuses on the importance of games in the development of children, provides examples of contacts between a child and an adult in the process of gaming, reveals the importance of games for a child in preschool age.
Relevance. The paper deals with topical issues of the development of play activities of children with mental retardation.
Problem, goal, tasks. The problem is the timely detection of a violation in children that hinders the development of play activities. The purpose of the work is to investigate the play activity of children with mental retardation in a preschool organization.
Materials and methods of research. The research materials were scientific sources and observation analysis. Research methods – observation of children's play activities.
Results and discussion. One of the main indicators of the development of play activity of children with mental retardation is the formation of an emotional and volitional sphere.
Conclusion. To develop the emotional and volitional sphere of children, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of their development and apply a variety of psychological and pedagogical techniques, use an individual approach to each child.
